For pride I joined forces with The Rainforest Action Network to call out Procter & Gamble for their destructive sourcing methods which have inflicted major harm to the rainforests, wildlife & indigenous communities of Indonesia. 

I traveled to Cincinnati to collaborate with a host of performers, artists and activists- together we celebrated Pride by saying “NO” to corporate greed: we called out Procter & Gamble (one of Cincinnati Pride’s biggest sponsors) for their rainbow-washing and greenwashing tactics. We demand P & G actively switch to more ethical practices & stop destroying rainforests to create their products.

As an artist, I deeply believe in sustainable systems, and the process, intention and ritual of art making are just as important as the work itself. Using primarily recycled & repurposed materials I created elaborate costuming, artwork and banners to highlight our message. Even the large interactive float I designed was built with reclaimed wood & elements which will be reused again and again. We utilized art, our queerness and activism to confront a major corporation on our own terms.
