ReflectioNNN is a visual recounting of our collective histories on the water. MCXT (Monica Canilao and Xara Thustra), delved into the MAH archives and connected with local artists and historians to illuminate the stories behind the early Venetian Water Carnivals of Santa Cruz and built this art boat as a nod to honoring that history. The SF Art Market curated MCXT to install our boat piece as the entryway work to the fair at Fort Mason in 2022. Monica was also commissioned to design the official limited edition SF ART MARKET tote bag design which was hand screen printed.
